Iñigo del Portillo (18/19)

My name is Inigo del Portillo, and I would like to serve as the President of Spain@MIT for the academic year 2018-2019. As president, I will make sure that our events for the MIT community continue to be organized with the same quality and enthusiasm as in past years. Moreover, I will maintain and expand our current relationship with other Spanish and European associations within and outside MIT, by co-organizing events of interest for the greater Spanish community in Boston. The goal is for Spain@MIT to be the nexus for Spanish students within the greater Boston area.

I am currently a fifth year graduate student in AeroAstro. I conduct my research at the System Architecture Lab, where I study how to design space-based and aerial-based communications networks to expand connectivity in the world. Prior to coming to MIT, I got my B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Telecommunications Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. I am originally from Pamplona.
