On March 1st, 2018, political reporters María Ramírez and Eduardo Suarez gave an engaging talk about their experience and the challenges of covering politics in the age of Donald Trump.

Maria and Eduardo have been following American politics for a long time. They have published several books on the topic such as “La Carrera” (2012), “El rastro del Exxon Valdez” (2014) or “Marco Rubio y la hora de los hispanos” (2016) and they covered the last presidential election from the Iowa caucuses to election night in New York.

María Ramírez is a political reporter for Univision and co-founder of Politibot, a bot reporting daily on politics in Europe and the US. She is also one of the founders of El Español, a digital newspaper that raised more then $4m in the successful crowdfunding campaign for journalism worldwide. During this course, María is a fellow at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard.

Eduardo Suarez is also a political reporter for Univision and co-founder of Politibot. He worked as a foreign correspondent for El Mundo from London, Brussels and New York. In 2014 one of his articles was awarded with the Gabriel García Márquez Prize, the most prestigious journalism award in Spanish worldwide.
