My name is Mikel Petri and I would like to become the Secretary of Spain@MIT. In this essential position I will be able to help the executive committee in tasks such as documenting the meetings and submitting official paperwork. I am currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Economics. I am interested in International Economics and Macroeconomics, specifically, the redistributive effects of trade and international business cycles. Before coming to MIT, I attended LSE, where I obtained an MSc Economics, and Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where I obtained a B.A. in Economics. I am originally from Blanes, a small sea town close to Barcelona.
